Sayonara~~!

I tell you, time really flies when you're having a good time. 6 days of Li Ling's syndrome & it passes by jst like tht. I reckon if I can't find a job in KL, I can be a tour guide in Melbourne, specialising in food... hehee.. ask Ling! :) I think both of us put on 2kg each.. hahaha.. we took so many silly pics at my hse, I can't wait to upload it in Flickr once July comes & I'll have new upload limit.

We went to so many places yday.. brought Ling to try the premium hot chocolate in Koko Black. Dunno why, it was too sweet for me & we both v much prefer Max Brenner.. went Brunswick in the morning & took more pics at Melbourne Museum, Royal Exhibition Building & Carlton Garden.. but definitely it couldn't compare with the beautiful pics we took at Franco's hse.. I reckon the sunset view fr his hse is even better or at least comparable to the Melbourne Observation Deck.. you lucky devil! Ling wanted to take more pics of Southgate & Crown.. so again to show how much she meant to me more than my sleep & how much I would brave the cold for her, we went & took even more pics after our Vietnamese dinner at Cow & Chicken.. weird name huh?!.. hehee.. thank you for yr company lerrr Ling dearie, I hope you had a memorable time jst as I did.. Melbourne had definitely turn sideways eh?!.. ;P Please remembr to share the rocky road chocolate with Marie & dun hide in yr bedroom & eat it alll b yrself.. Yr perfume still lingers in my bedroom & it really made me felt that you're still there..!! Love you lotzzz..

Oh oh.. I received my first ever rose in Melbourne fr lime yday.. :) thanks ler, bastard.. I really thought you were joking when you suggest that we should exchange roses.. haha.. too bad Ling's one couldn't go through the custom.. dunno why! & remembr to sign in for a blog in blogspot & an account in Flickr too. Don't feel sad now that we're all gone okie.. coz we'll be back real soon.. :) ::~~Lonely~~... I am so lonely..~~ I have nobody... on my own.. ^^ wahahahaha....

After so many months of procrastination, I finally returned my office key & the security pass to my boss. No doubt, all memories of Orientation kept reminding me how lucky I am to hv tht job despite how stressful it was & the pathetic social life.. otherwise, there will be no Gold Coast trip, no Sydney trip, no ski trip, no Crumpler bag, no digital camera & of course no Hong Kong...!!! wahahahahaha~~~ Praise God!

Currently feeling: A bit excited abt going to Sydney & meeting Tasmanian Devil after 4 long weeks. See you in the airport tmr dearie!! :).. with my new digital camera!!! Waaaaaaa~~~ can't wait..

Life is good when you have someone to share with~~

So weird of me, my backside get itchy when I don't get to blog..! I think this is what you call addicted to blogging. I must say, the sunset view at St. Kilda beach is jst oh-so-beautiful! ~~ I just love watching sunset & sunrise, it never fails to make me feel that life is beautiful & we shouldn't take it for granted. I had never felt so good for such a long time.. waking up in the morn used to be a dreadful thing w the to-do list piling up but nowadays, it's more of places to go & things to eat..

The Great Ocean Road trip was simply~~~ breathtaking~~~ Memories of me & Sophia kept pouring back to a year ago when we went to the exact same place.. but this time it was different. Diff because it was with another equally close friend, diff because it wasn't so cold & it wasn't raining, diff because ling can be more perasan than me, posing like "Statue of Liberty" and whatever my brain couldn't even think of.. It was tiring, no doubt.. Ling said I snored in the bus. How embarassing! & the winding road made my head so dizzy but still the view was so worth it.. went & eat Hong Kong mee at Chinatown & introduced Ling to my favourite home-made strawberry fondue.. it was so good! Imagine 2 greedy pigs eating 2 big box of stawberries dipping with hot chocolate..

Brought Ling to have hot chocolate at Max Brenner & she was playing with the fondue set like a kid.. darn cute! Went to take pictures at GPO & had Japanese food at Don-Don.. We drank hot chocolate for 2 hours, visited GPO for 5 minutes & had Japanese food for another 2hrs. By tt time, we swear to god we can't be hse mates or else we'll be 2 big fat buffalos.. Is she here to eat Melbourne or visit Melbourne??? Check out the pics.. :)

Re-visit Melbourne

You know, I never knew that Melbourne is THIS beautiful until Ling pointed it out.. it really made me feel that I'm so gonna miss this place when I go back end of this yr.. went to so many places these few days.. hmmm.. let's begin w ling's arrival on exactly 1.45am Fri morn. As usual ler, I was sleeping halfway & jst in case some of you were wondering, yes, I really welcomed her with my pyjamas, half sleepy face & bad breath (pssst, bra-less & panty-less too!). Knowing us, we hugged & 'teh' & chatted until 3 something in the morn.. when I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw Ling sleeping, half of her body at the corner of my single bed and the other half of her body lying at the carpet.. this of course, is the result of my kicking.. wahahaha.. I'm sure pjin, sam, ash, amanda & yvonne can relate to this v well.. everytime when we have slumber party, I am always the one that no one wants to sleep with.!! ;P

Anw, we kicked off the day jst briefly visiting the controversial Federation Square.. took a few snaps & went to Bridge Road for shopping.. I bought a couple of bangles & a scarf.. oh oh, we had chili-a-rage bento at Tokyo Sushi, recommended by Audrey & it was so worth it.. but the most special thing was this tofu we tried at this Tofu shop.. it's so interesting u know, all the food in that shop is made out of tofu & there's no fixed menu coz the chef cooks whatever he feels like it everday.. so cool huh?!.. anw, we had this tofu w pickles, ginger, dahl, mushroom, red wine, macadamia & some other weird stuff in it.. I like it coz it's so unique & although it looks so Chinese, it's run by Aussies.. oh well, I've never paid 6 dollars for a tofu before & it better b good... anw, we even had their dessert which is made out of tofu as well.. Tofu peach & hazelnut... taste really weird!

Had Italian food for dinner at Lygon Street, followed by the famous Roche gelati at Il Dolce... Ooooohhh yum yum, that's my ultimate favourite ice-cream.. then brought Ling to chck out this new club, Billboard.. nver beeen thr before but didn't had a great time coz not even half way dancing, I got terrible stomach cramps... my aunt decided to visit me on that day so we reached home at 2.30am - my earliest clubbing night ever.. And of course, ling decided that the carpet is far better than sleeping w me on the same bed. My dear "button", it jst feels kinda weird ler with no one there for me to "rape" when I'm dancing..!

Brought Ling to Victoria market today.. we ate & ate & ate & bought so many stuff.. bought this really cute 'L' diamond key ring for Ling & she hung it at her hp.. :) glad tht she liked it.. went & showed Ling The Block Archade & those small little alleys of Melbourne & she was sooooo impressed.. she love it so much, wait till I bring her to Melbourne Uni.. then we walked along Southgate during sunset & really, it was one of the most beautiful views.. we took so many pics. Ling loved Flinders St Station so much & the Crown's fire.. can't wait to upload those pics in my Flickr.. then we met up w Franco & Richie to try out this Mexican food - Taco Bill.. the food was quite nice but I love the environment the most.. & again, we spent so much time taking pics at the Parliament, I started to doubt whether are we the tourist or had we studied here for quite some time.. hahaha.. head down to Brunettis after dinner & being the usual Franco & Richie, they amuse me with their silly jokes & continue to make fun of me like they always do.. :)

It's so fun spending so much quality time w Ling these few days coz although she had changed so much physically but our friendship was still the same. There were no awkward gaps or whatsoever, we jst continued where we left out (you made the right choice to visit me in Melbourne, Ling dearie!! ) we still laugh & eat & talk like we used to... when 2 crazy ppl who doesn't care bout what other's think, we start to take pics at unimaginable places i.e. the tram tracks.. hahaha.. you shud see the look at my friend's face when I bumped into her while doin one of these acts.. we also took pics in the tram, not e craziest thing ever but until now i still feel funny whenever i take pics in the tram..... it's like ppl taking pics in the Intrakota. Who on earth ever does that? Errrr.... me???

I can barely type now, to be honest, it's already a record tht i can still think bout blogging at this hr.. i couldn't even think straight. Oh oh.. I got my 21st bday present fr Ling & I think she really know me well, she bought me Perth's most famous, apple strudel fr Corica... oh my God, it's soooo huge u know & now, there's only a small piece left... hey, i shared my strudel okay?!.. Definitely the best apple strudel I ever had.

My beloved Crumpler bag~~!

I bought my first ever Crumpler bag today after 3 empty visits.. hehee.. Remember the one that I showed you, Krystal? I'm so excited & I'm so proud of myself for some reason.. now I can bring this bag to Sydney.. woohoo~~.. I checked online that the price for a 3 1/2 hr climb of the Sydney Harbour Bridge will cost me an estimate of $180. That's so blardy expensive.. definitely more than I expected but I really really really wanna go.. I'm even willing to give up on Blue Mountains jst to make sure we're on budget.. so whaddaya think Tasmanian Devil? Jst like the website said: "It's gonna be a climb of a lifetime.."

After another few rejections & lame excuses, I finally joined Star Wars' bunch.. thought it would be weird coz they're all so full on for God but they really made the effort to make me feel comfortable. :) & they even invited me to join them weekly.. It's a shame that we didn't get to share the word of God but one thing for sure, I certainly did meet some nice people.. We cooked deer meat w salad & mash potato.. yum~~ but of course, the highlight was the Heaven's double chocolate fudge ice-cream... aaaahhHHhhhh~~ It was my first time that I ever felt this comfortable talking to a bunch of strangers & especially Star Wars.. I never knew we could have topics to talk about esp after our Sushi Ten outing a couple of weeks ago but I guess when the environment are less casual i.e the kitchen, conversations would flow naturally. Strange enough, I didn't find myself struggling to think of topics to talk about and in fact, find guys who are able to hold conversations, very attractive. Even stranger, I suddenly thought of "cheese cake guy".

Today is one of my dearest "Friday girl's night out" member's birthday.. I think I must have shocked her mum jst now coz I called allllll the way to Medan, Indonesia.. but couldn't get her. :( Anw, I wish that she'll have a great time in Medan today while wearing the necklace I gave to her for her bday present.

LI LING WILL BE ARRIVING TODAY!!!! Wahahaha... yayyyyy!!! *jumping** *jumping** exactly on 1.45am, she'll be reaching with me welcoming her at my doorstep with my pyjamas & super thick jacket & a half-asleep face and bad breath. I've already got all the plans layed out for her to maximise her time here in Melbourne.. exactly 6 days only.. I'm sure it'll pass by v fast...

I went to Krystal's place yday with lime and the minute I opened the apartment's door, a gust of her smell swarmed over my face & I couldn't help but miss her a bit ler... a bit only! Faster come back lerrr~~ fcuking cunt. Also, because of my dedicated love to Tasmanian Devil, I went alllllllllll the way jst to make sure I've got her winter jacket with me so I could bring it to Sydney for her, hoping tht she'll teman me to go Blue Mountains.. heheeee... *cross fingers**

Lime told me yday, "You are the biggest joke in my life." No one has ever said that to me before and funny coz amidst all his sarcasms and lame-ness, I take that as a compliment. :D Thanks for the well-boiled soup ler... reminds me a lot bout mama's soup.

It's so weird how a minute ago I was so chirpy & now I felt weird.. Jst got an email fr the Dragon 100 Young Chinese Leaders Forum 2005.. it's a 10-day trip to HK & Shanghai participating in this study tour & attending this Forum thingy but they only select 100 out of 500 applicants fr all around the world...... my application was unsuccessful.. Oh well, at least I tried but can't help feeling a bit disappointed.

Madagascar

I slept halfway through Madagascar and woke up everytime Franco smacked me at my head or pinch my flabby arms. **Ooouch!** The movie was okayyyyyy-ler. You know those kind of movies where you'll swear over it if it's $11.50 & be nice with it when it's jst $6.50... yeah, those kind. Maybe it's jst me coz I'm not a big fan of cartoons coz Franco was laughing all the way & stared at me with his 2cm eyes, wondering why I'm not laughing.. Stupid Richie, "fong fei kei" so we both went & had Vietnamese food at North Richmond.. Thanks to the cockroach that passed the table & later fly to the floor, we left before I even finished my food coz we can both imagine the cockroach crawling at our neck.. ewwww! My first time seeing tt stupid bug in Melbourne. I still remembr my po-po used to catch it using her hands & stuff it right at my face at the same time, screaming: "You scared for what? You're even bigger than the cockroach.."

Anw, went & walk around Ikea coz lime wanted to buy some stuff for his hse. had the ever delicious Ikea 50cent ice-cream... eh, damn nice okay & it definitely beats McD's or Hungry Jacks's coz the taste of the milk is stronger.. besides, u dun get to eat it everyday..

Oh oh & I finally started reading "Memoirs of Geisha" again.. After I stopped at pg 23 out of the 300 something pages a year ago, I figured that I might as well start all over again.. so, I made a mental note to myself that I must read 1 chapter a day................. except when Ling's here, when I'm in Sydney & on weekends............

Went back to Next Wave jst now coz I volunteered to do the budget after they hinted to me that they needed someone to do it.. again they were super nice & was shocked that the actual budget came so much less than the estimated one.. before I left, again they praised my work & told me tht my supervisor was v pleased with me.. immediately, I thought.. "Sure or not? I'm already here lerrr... no need to say all this stuff ler!" So I jst gave her a smile n walk away choosing to believe what she said, jst to make me feel good. :D

Finally~~!

I finally handed in my last essay for the semester yday. Didn't thought I did very well but I was so sick of it, I didn't even wanted to look at it... My beloved fuzzy cunt called me yday allllllll the way fr KL. I was so happy coz we were talking like old times.. of course, me with the funny jokes and hers jst complementing mine. But anw, it was fun catching up.. it was exactly only 4 days. 4 DAYS!!! But still we had so much to chat about... :D... (Thanks for calling and I will remembr to teach you how to create those "buttons".. ;P)

I wanted to reward myself after handing in my last essay .. so I went to watch Peaches while savouring my ultimate favourite - almond croissant. It was quite a nice movie, giving the audience a diff perspective fr an 18-year-old girl who had lost her parents since she was born and had been craving for parental love since. They had many great shots. Really, going through all those Editing & Publishing Media Texts during summer really changed how I watch a movie now..

Chatted with the person I love most and she made me laugh when she told me how she constantly visualised herself singing at the stage with many fans... hahahaha.. and now, she even wants to learn dancing... not ballroom dancing okie! But, tango or cha-cha... hahahaha.. ok-larrr, I feel so bad, I should be more encouraging... Mama, you rox~~

I couldn't even recall when was the last time I did a spring clean and finally I decided to clean up my room .. it took me the entire night & I had 3 big bags of rubbish. Actually, the spring clean is for Ling. ;P She'll be arriving on Fri morn!!!! YAYYYyyyyyYYY~ I can't wait.. :)

My weekend!

We visited the Parliament today!!!! Yeah, we walked passed the Parliament yday n saw this huge banner saying "Open Day" on Sunday so I pestered lime n fatso Richie to go with me. Oh my God, the carvings inside is so nice n it's so grand. My first time being there.. they even had to scan through our belongings before allowing us to go in, u know those u see at the airport.. anw, it was really like those I've seen on pics & they even had a private Parliament Garden which could easily pass off as a public garden.. The highlight was not the carvings, not even the library (which was really like those Harry Porter kind) but it was the scone & coffee... hahahahah.. food again, as usual lar..

We went yum cha for lunch. Stupid Shark Fin House was fully booked n we didn't bother to wait n jst randomly went to another restaurant, Pepper & Chilli.. bloody hell! So expensive sumore not nice sumore this stupid waitress who obviously can't speak Eng but still pretend although we were humble enough to speak Canto to her... anywayyyyy, we so not satisfied, paid the bill n went to Shark Fin Hse again.. hehee.. eat again lor n this time contented.

Oh oh, also went to Katie's farewell party yday night. My first time in an Aussie's hse. Katie was super friendly n introduced me to Georgia n Mel.. nice ppl but as usual lar, although we did chat but somehow u can't really click with them. Or maybe it's jst me... we playd fuzzy duck again n trashd Georgia.. hahaha.. but it wasn't as fun as the night when we were at Cookies, dunno why! Then, the 3 of us continued our "yum cha" session at Lygon..

Funny how sometimes when u're in a big gp, u dun really get to know yr friends in detail but this 2 days it was only the 3 of us n we started chatting bout our background bla bla bla.. On Sat night, we were talking bout relationships n friendships then we were chatting bout our families n death today. Lime was sharing bout his po-po. Didn't know it impacted him so much. I never knew he could be so touched when it comes to r/ships with ppl, which is something I'v jst found out these 2 days. After all his craziness n funny sarcasms, I can actually sense his sincerity n love to his po-po fr his 2cm eyes.. dun play2 k?!.. ok lar, I hv to admit tt I never thought Richie can be so matured at his thinking too.. hahahaha... thought he always play n tell lame stories ony but actually there's some thinking goin inside his big head also ok?!.. hahaha.. They'r gonna kill me if they ever found out bout this blog.

My fri night

For the first time in god knows how many months, I didn't had plans with either Jen & the gang or Krystal & the gang and boy, it sure felt weird. I wanted to stay home coz sometimes I like being left alone curled under my super thick quilt with a book but my bro was pestering me to join him at his beloved baby's hse for a couple's farewell party which I'm not even close with.. anw, I wasn't really in the mood for socialising but I went anw.

And, I'm glad I went coz the laksa was so good. Eh, not only because of the food okayyyyy?!.. But the couple who was leaving was sharing on his life and his journey of experiencing God and it amazed me. It amazed me to see how someone could love God in such passion and it left me wondering when the heck would be my turn? Anw, "Star Wars" parents were there but not Star Wars himself.. it was my first time talking to them and the father was like super nice and was telling me his life history over Bailey's.... sometimes I really like chatting with uncles coz they are simple n "lou tou".. "lou tou" enough to make me laugh at them... heheheee...

Oh, oh.. my ex called me this afternoon. I was so shocked I almost drop my phone.. Funny coz I didn't feel happy but I didn't feel sad either........................ I just felt normal. I still remembr the first time he called me after we broke up, I was so disturbed by his phone call and his second phone call left me wonder in daze but now, I jst felt normal and we chatted like we used to minus all the manja voice and darlings and dears larrr.. it really took us quite a while to reach this stage man.. or at least for me.

Amazing Race

The 2 hot brothers were out. I'm so curious who would win.. there's only 4 left in the race, including the famous Rob & Amber. Although they're regarded as the main competitor by others, I still want them to win.. they're damn sweet ok?!.. never see them fight before. Plus, I think Rob's hot. ;P Watching tht show reminds me a lot of you ler, Krystal.. we used to hv dinner evry Thurs & then "rape" each other like nobody's business then sit down quietly & watch.. haha.. good ol' times.. more to come, girl..!!

Today, I had my own amazing race too. Jst started my essay today & I'm currently left with 600words. Eh, not funny k?!.. Hmmm... Jeremy called me today, asked me to join his weekly bunch. And then, I said no coz hv to rush for this essay. And then, straight away he asked me to join him next week. And then, I said yes. He's getting more clever. Are we in another amazing race? hehee... We'll see.........

I can't believe I'm doing this

Today, I woke up in the morning and the first thing that popped into my mind was, "I can't believe I set up a blog". O-M-G (referenced: Valene, 2005).. it's like Irene + blog + technology = doesn't makes sense.. hahaha.. and the weirdest thing is that, I can't wait to blog. It is rare.... I mean, never would I go connect my 56k Internet at home jst to go online & blog. Huh?

Anw, I'm feeling so boredddddddd now. After so many days of activities and chilling out with friends, I suddenly feel so weird sitting at home, cracking my head for the 3,500 words essay which i've just started 2hrs ago. My bro was saying, "You crazy meh, 3,500 words notchet even start.. sure cannot finish ler".. so, with my stubborn-ness, I decided to prove him wrong............................................ that's why I just sent an email to my lecturer to ask for an extension (just in case lar! ;P)

The "fuzzy duck" game that Charlie taught us keep repeating in my head. It's such a cool game & I think it's even more fun if you play it while you're drunk.. hahaha.. We were at this nice bar - Cookies located at Swanston Street. I remembered being there once with Valene & Jun in sem 1. But, this time we were there for 6hrs, jst drinking, playing card games & shouting & yelling at the top of our lungs (or maybe it's jst me!).. then at that morn, Krystal, Richie & I went jogging. Yeah, u can imagine the scene.. 3 crazy ppl, wearing nothing but a jumper & tracksuit walking around 6.30 in the morn.. hahaha.. but I think it's jst another excuse of eating bfast, which is something we had planned for a v long time. I had fun eatin bfast with them while giving Richie a chance to express his heartfelt "loneliness"..hahaha... he's really a funny fat guy & he looks a bit like Garfield. wuhahahaha.... Oh oh, we also went & watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith the night before... Angelina is super super sexy..

Whooooaaaaaa!

I'm so excited. This is my first ever personal bloggy, mainly inspired by my Integrated Media course and also of course, I jst came to realise that my life is too precious to not blog about it. Everyday there's so many things that happenned that my "short-term memory" birth defect could benefit with a blog that documents all the sweet, sour and bitter moments... wahahaaa...

My 21st....

I am amazed. I am enthralled. I am touched. I just dunno what to say anymore........ No words can describe my feelings!!! ^_^ It has been one of my MOST memorable and best birthdays ever.. I really didn't expect it to turn out this way. I'm so thrilled that even right now, while typping this, I can't even sit straight at my seat and stop smiling for one minute. hehee... Plus, I have to let it out and document this historical moment or else I can't concentrate at my work..

Birthday celebrations started last Wed with bro and church mates gathering at Melba for a beautiful seafood dinner. The salmon was soooo good. Sooooo good. I can taste it right now in my mouth. The usual gang was there.. It was really nice of them to take their time out admist all the assgns and workload.. In fact, it was quite a suprise.. I never expected them to celebrate my birthday with me so that was my first sweet suprise. Awwwww...

The following night, I had seafood buffet AGAIN!!! This time, at Conservatory, Crown with my girlsssss. It was planned like a month ago and it was meant to celebrate both me and Jun's birthday. :) I had a great night.. and boy, it was our most expensive night out ever.. but it was worth it. The oysters and fresh prawns and cheese and the desserts were soooooooo de-li-cious... *drooling* And, we had the perfect seat, facing the magnificent wave of fire that I loved so much! We witnessed 4 rounds of the Crown trademark fire...... so you can imagine how long we were there!!

Then, I helped Krystal to move house in the weekend. :( No more Krystal at 2nd floor... Thank God, Concept Blue is jst a few mins walk away. It was so funny coz me, Franco and Richie were given the "opportunity" to sit at the back of the movers and guess what we end up doing? Taking pictures, of course. (Richie, I want those pics!).. Out of a sudden, Jen called to invite me to watch Twins concert, performing that night at Crown. Waaaaaaa!!! I was so happy coz I've never watched a concert in Melbourne before and it was truly a nice experience although we ended up with separate seats.. On Sunday, a close friend brought me to dinner at this nice cosy cafe at Flinders Lane - Movidas. I love to go all this "undiscovered cafe" to explore their food, which turned out to be very nice but quite pricey. My first time trying Spanish food.. *yum yum*

On Monday, which was the actual day, I met up with my "yum cha" mates - Elina & Steph plus Deviani for a coffee and a last catch-up before Steph leaves for her one month holiday back in Jakarta. And, they suprised me with a scarf. Knowing how I have a fetish for scarves.. I went nuts! I love the colour.. Later at night, I went for my birthday dinner at Franco's place.. I already felt that they were sweet enough for buying and preparing all the food for the steamboat dinner. But, when I walked in, that place looked sooo different. They actually made the effort to decorate the place with lotsa colourful balloons, crepe paper and even throw confettis on me when I walked in... They even made a "red carpet" with my ugliest photos on it.. hahaha.. We had a nice hot pot and then, Valene dearest made a beautiful card for me.. It was so special and I love it the most.. Currently, it's sitting at my modem. They showered me with pressies and tada, came the birthday cake .. Waahahahaha.. I've always wanted that birthday cake you know.. from Brunettis! I think we almost finished everything in one night. Another highlight of the night would be the stuff that Krystal hand-made.. I'm so touched by her effort and the amount of time that she took to make that although she's so busy with her editing & stuff. (Love ya lotz, FB) Thanks guys, you truly made my birthday a memorable one. ^_^ Although it was only 5 of us that night but really, it doesn't matter coz at the end of the day, I felt soooooo happy & special!
